The Crisis Intelligence Unit is a new, specialized division within SEC Newgate, offering comprehensive services in reputation and image protection, as well as crisis response. In addition to crisis management, its areas of expertise include reputation audits, interactive crisis simulations, and open-source intelligence (OSINT). The latter is made possible through a partnership with Open Intelligence Group – a company specializing in investigative due diligence and sanctions screening.
The Crisis Intelligence Unit is a team of crisis management experts whose mission is the rapid and effective neutralization of clients’ reputational threats. The unit is composed of experienced strategists, analysts, psychologists, as well as the Vigilance and Resilience sections.
“Our effectiveness stems not only from well-established procedures and regular training, but also from our extensive operational and logistical capabilities. We have a team of more than 50 consultants and renowned affiliate partners who can switch to a 24/7 operating mode at any time. For many clients, we are the first choice in times of crisis. The launch of the Crisis Intelligence Unit is another step in strengthening our position in the crisis advisory market,” says Zofia Bugajna-Kasdepke, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SEC Newgate CEE.
Strategic cooperation in the field of OSINT
SEC Newgate has established a strategic partnership with Open Intelligence Group, a company specializing in investigative due diligence using open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools. The package offered to SEC Newgate clients will also include products such as the OSINT Evidence Pack, litigation support, fact-checking, and identification of sources of attacks against companies.
“We are pleased that our investigative expertise has been recognized in the context of crisis management strategy, as this was one of the key reasons we developed these capabilities. Our partnership with SEC Newgate opens up new opportunities and areas of operation for us,” says Robert Socha, President of Open Intelligence Group.
The cooperation also enables SEC Newgate CEE to offer clients advanced automated sanctions screening, allowing companies to verify whether business entities appear on global sanctions lists. The tool designed by Open Intelligence Group analyzes nearly 80 lists from around the world and generates alerts whenever potential risks are detected.
“Today, our clients require not only reputational analysis, but also reliable verification of potential connections – both their own and those of their business partners. Unverified relationships may lead to future crises: reputational, business-related, or broader issues at the intersection of public affairs and regulation. Cooperation with Open Intelligence Group allows us to complement our analytical services with advanced OSINT tools,” emphasizes Zofia Bugajna-Kasdepke.
