SEC Newgate CEE returned from London’s ICCO Global Awards gala with three major awards – two in sector categories for its “Saving Free Media in Poland” campaign with TVN Warner Bros. Discovery, and one individual award for Szymon Dziewięcki for outstanding achievement under 30.
SEC Newgate CEE was the only agency from Poland to be awarded at the gala summing up this year’s international ICCO Global Awards. The jury recognized the “Saving Free Media in Poland” campaign, implemented together with TVN Warner Bros. Discovery in two categories – Best Public Affairs Campaign and Best Crisis Management Campaign. Special attention of the jury was drawn to the effects of the implemented activities, as well as their significance for civil society and democracy. The International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO) brings together 41 public relations trade associations from 82 countries around the world. In Poland, the ICCO includes the Association of Public Relations Firms.
– Our campaign is the result of many years of cooperation with the TVN WBD team. We are guided by the same values and have worked with full determination over the past years for the independence of the media in Poland. The realized actions can be translated to other markets that face similar threats. I’m glad that we managed to base the campaign on universal values and pave paths for other media in Europe and around the world,” comments Zofia Bugajna-Kasdepke, co-founder and CEO of SEC Newgate CEE.
However, this is not the SEC’s only success. Szymon Dziewięcki, Project Manager at SEC Newgate CEE, was recognized in the Rising Star of the Year category. The jury recognized his numerous wins in creative competitions and his leading role in the award-winning “Saving Free Media in Poland” campaign. As noted in the award justification, the SEC Newgate CEE consultant has combined expertise in the distant fields of public affairs and creative campaigns. He is also the founder of the PR Student Association at Warsaw University, the largest organization in Poland for young PR professionals.
This is another international success for SEC Newgate CEE this year. Earlier, in March, the agency was nominated in the prestigious PR Week competition. The shortlist in the Issues Management category also included a campaign in defense of the media in Poland. SEC Newgate CEE has risen to 8th place in the ranking of PR agencies in Poland (PR Check 2024) in just 3 years of operation.
